Technical Report on Mechanical and Physical properties

The technical report determines Test Performance Values related to Mechanical and Physical properties of plywood produced at ANN PLYWOOD Co., LTD. It was referred to world-class BS EN standards including BS EN 323: 1993, BS EN 310:1993, BS EN 319:1993, BS EN 317:1993, BS EN 320:2011 to demonstrate:

  • Density

  • Bending Strength

  • Modulus of elasticity in bending

  • Tensile strength perpendicular to the plane of the board (Internal bond)

  • Swelling in thickness after immersion in water for 24h

  • Resistance to axial withdrawal of screws (Maximum Load).

According to the test results, plywood at ANN PLYWOOD is classified as a hybrid plywood (so-called Structural Decorative Plywood or Architectural Plywood) which has outstanding mechanical and physical properties, and aesthetic surface finish.

Technical Report on Surface Roughness

The Surface Roughness Test Report after sanding aims to determine performance values related to the surface finish quality of plywood manufactured by ANN PLYWOOD Co., Ltd. The report was conducted in accordance with the international standard ISO 21920-3:2021 to measure the Ra (Roughness Average) index.

Test results show:

  • Non-faced: Average Ra = 4.615 µm

  • EV-Faced: Average Ra = 7.491 µm

  • Pine-Faced: Average Ra = 3.993 µm

  • Okoume-Faced: Average Ra = 10.569 µm

These values fall within the recommended range of ANSI/HPVA HP-1 standards, ensuring a smooth and even surface, improved glue adhesion, optimized glue consumption, and superior aesthetic quality for high-end veneer applications.

Technical Report on Formaldehyde Emission - EPA TSCA/CARB P2

The Formaldehyde Emission Test Report was conducted to determine the level of formaldehyde emissions in plywood manufactured by ANN PLYWOOD Co., Ltd. The report refers to the following internationally recognized standards:

  • California Code of Regulation – CARB Phase 2 (Section 93120.2, Title 17)

  • US EPA TSCA Title VI (40 CFR 770.10)

The test was performed according to ASTM D6007-14, using a 1m³ chamber under controlled conditions of ~25°C and 50% RH.
